March 2014

Below are pictures of Charlotte Elizabeth Janet and Conrad James Stevenson taken between: 1st March 2014 and 31 March 2014.  What a month!

Key events this month were:

  • Conrad had a school trip to Xi’an in North Western China to see the Terracotta Warriors
  • Lottie headed to Singapore for the 4th Annual Hockey Youth Cup bringing back a bronze medal
  • Susan headed from London to meet Lottie in SG
  • Peter and Conrad on their return from Xi’an headed to SG for the 2014 Singapore Wrestling National Open Trials where The Harbour School wrestling club were competing.  Conrad brought home a gold in the kids under 29 kg category.
  • Susan flew back to HK for the week of Conrad’s birthday and was also here for the 2014 HK Sevens.
  • Roro also joined us and is with us fro two weeks.  She’s now our most regular house guests!
  • On wed 26 March we celebrated Conrad’s 9th birthday with cakes at school and supper at Pizza Express.
  • Friday 28 March to Sunday 30 March was the 2014 HK [Rugby] Sevens.  Conrad played in an exhibition match in the stadium at the opening on Friday.  Roro and Peter’s friend Steve Forte joined us on Sunday where NZ beat England in the final.  After the final Susan flew back to the UK.  We’ll see her in London in two weeks for the Easter holidays
  • Bruno Mars was in town and Lottie went to her first concert by herself (the ticket was her present)
  • The other news is that Lottie won a sport scholarship at her new school Epsom College, and at 2014 WIS Sports Awards wins MVP for Hockey, Most Improved Runner for the Blacks Link cross-country inter-school runs and Year 8 Sports Girl.

This year the HK Sevens key sponsor ads from Cathay and HSBC did not live up to past years.  Here is a blast from the past:  2013 HK Sevens, scroll to the bottom for the video links.
