New Zealand - WOW - what a place.
- Clean air.
- Open spaces.
- Clear skies. No pollution and a gaping hole in the ozone layer, which means you get burnt severely within 10 minutes of being in the sun!
- Only 3m people - who mostly live in the North island - compare that to HK with 6m!
- 20m sheep.
- 40m possums!
We stayed in some amazing places which was all organised for us by Angie Speizer of GINZ.com who did a magnificent job of organising our trip and finding us magnificent accommodation at the peak of the New Year holiday season.
The trip was split into four stays. On reflection we could have fitted in another stop - however we restricted our stops so Lottie would not have to spend substantial parts of her holiday sitting in her car
seat.
Stop 1 - Christ Church. We kicked off our trip staying with Jan and Rob Daly on their farm Matariki.
Stop 2 - Flight to Queenstown then drive to Lake Wanaka. Here we stayed in Parkland Lodge run by Margaret and Lawrence Mikkelsen.
Stop 3 - Drive to Lake Tekapo. Here we stayed at Highview run by Elizabeth and Derek Clark.
Stop 4 - Homeward bound - Kirwee on the outskirts of Christ Church. Here we stayed in Meychelle Manor farm run by Michelle and Brian Walker.
