For the second leg of our trip we flew down to Queesntown in an Air New Zealand ATR72. Had lunch in a little mining town - Arrowtown then drove down to Lake Wanaka, staying at Parkland Lodge run by Margaret and Lawrence Mikkelsen.
Highlights were a day spent with one of Susan’s colleagues who has a 150 acre farm nearby. A trip back to Queenstown for a bit of retail therapy (Pumpkin Patch shopping for clothes for Lottie) and to go on a trip on the TSS (Twin Steam Screw Ship) Earnslaw and Walter Peak High Country Farm.
We had also hoped to fly from Wanaka to Milford Sound but the weather was just not in our favour.
